WHAT ARE EYELASH EXTENSIONS?Eyelash extensions are individual mink or cashmere lashes of different lengths, curls and weight (thickness), applied one-by-one to each individual natural lash as an ‘extension’ of your natural lash. GraceFull lash extensions are meant to lengthen, thicken and enhance the natural lash line without causing any pain, discomfort or damage.

WILL EXTENSIONS DAMAGE MY NATURAL LASHES?The biggest myth is that eyelash extensions ruin your own natural lashes - they do not. When applied correctly, they are safe and do not ruin the health of your natural lashes. Be sure not to rub your eyes or tug or pull on the extensions, because this can cause lash loss and even damage to your own natural lashes. If lashes are applied properly and to each individual eyelash, they won’t fall out.

HOW SAFE ARE EYELASH EXTENSIONS?GraceFull lash extensions are applied directly to the natural lash, and never to the skin. The procedure is pain free and the extensions are feather light, so they will not pull your own natural lashes out. We take extra care to make sure we cover each individual lash. We do not clump lashes together, apply them to the skin, or damage your natural lashes with improper application. The eyes should always remain closed while receiving this procedure.

WHO IS NOT A CANDIDATE FOR EYELASH EXTENSIONS?An individual with any allergy to adhesives or cyanoacrylate adhesives. An individual who has undergone chemotherapy over the last six months, or an individual who does not have natural eyelashes may not have GraceFull eyelash extensions applied. Lashes that grow into the eye are not candidates for lash extensions either. If you suffer from an eye infection, severe allergies, or a degenerative disease of the eye, we cannot apply lash extensions to your eyes.
-
HOW LONG DO EYELASH EXTENSIONS LAST?Eyelash extensions require touch ups every 2-3 weeks to maintain their fullness. The longevity of your extensions will vary based upon your natural lash growth cycle; if your hair grows fast, then so will your extensions, and fills will be needed more often. If you follow our after-care instructions for caring for your GraceFull lash extensions, your eyelash extensions will remain fuller, longer. The average human eye sheds 5-7 natural eyelashes per day, this is 70-90 natural lashes within 2 weeks (half your natural eyelashes), therefore we recommend re-fills every 2 to 3 weeks. If you return for a fill with less than 40% of your extensions in place, you will be required to obtain a full set. Our rates are set based upon time and coverage applied.

CAN I STILL WEAR EYE MAKEUP?Yes, you can still wear eye makeup, but most GraceFull lash clients don't feel the need to wear eye makeup; just wake up and go! No more running, streaking, smudging, or flaking mascara. You can still use eyeliner and eye shadows as usual, as long as it is not waterproof or liquid (these products will break down the adhesive.) Mascara is NOT recommended, as this will break down the adhesive, clump up the extensions and cause your extensions to come off earlier than expected.
-
CAN I GET THEM WET?Once the glue on your GraceFull lash extensions have had enough time to bond to your natural lashes (24 hrs.) you won’t have to worry about getting your eyelash extensions wet or submerging them in water. However, there are a few things you can do to make sure they last for as long as possible: When you do get your GraceFull lashes wet, don’t dry them off or rub them with a towel. Instead dab above and below your lashes. Be sure to also use your spoolie brush to set your lashes back into place. If you’re going to the beach or pool, be careful when you apply sunscreen. Avoid putting sunscreen on your eyelids. Sometimes the oil from the sunscreen can break down the glue causing your extensions to fall out. Try wearing sunglasses to protect your eyes instead.
-
WHAT ARE VOLUME LASHES?Volume eyelash extensions are created by using multiple lightweight extensions with thinner diameters. Through the creation of a volume fan and placement on each natural lash, the result is a thicker, darker, and fuller lash line, verses Classic eyelash extensions which use one extension to one natural lash. Volume Lashes are not to be confused with cluster lashes. Cluster lashes can also create a voluminous look (in a shorter period), but are bulkier, heavier, and are only meant to last a few days.

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY GRACEFULL LASH, EYELASH EXTENSIONS?"Do not wash eyes and avoid steam and sweat for 24 hrs. after lash application. Avoid strong heat (ovens or BBQ’s). Heat can melt or distort extensions. Never allow shower water to beat directly on your eyelash extensions. Constant pressure on the extensions can cause them to "pop" off or wear off sooner than normal. Do not rub, pick, pull or twist your extensions. Do not use an eyelash curler on your extensions. Do not sleep on your lashes. If you are a side sleeper, try and keep your lashes out of the pillow (sleeping on your side or your face creates wrinkles and lines on your face, in addition to ruining your lashes- incentive to Not sleep on your face). Gently comb the tips of your extensions with the spoolie brush provided as needed to straighten and "fluff" your extensions. Do not over comb your extensions or use the spoolie brush as you would with mascara. Avoid oil-based and waterproof mascara, as this will shorten the lifespan of your extensions, cause clumping, and dissolve the adhesive. You can use mascara on your bottom lashes. Never use organic solvents or oil makeup removers on your extensions, as this will dissolve the adhesive and ruin your extensions. Receive regular re-fills to maintain the fullness and natural look of your extensions. Cleanse your eyelash extensions several times per week, if not daily, with our GraceFull Eyelash Cleanser; a water-based non-irritating lash cleanser.
